I’ve never been into naming bikes but I figured what the hell. Besides, it's so much easier than naming our next child.
The cool thing about naming a bike...a week from now, when I realize how ridiculous naming a bike is, I can just forget it even happened, which is much unlike naming Junior or some of these terrible tattoos I see out there!
So without further ado, here’s the new ride - El Lobo.
My bike buying process wouldn’t be complete without the team at Profile Designs. I had the pleasure of working with Karen Sing and mechanic JD at Profile Design to help customize my build. Again, I went back and forth determining the right mix of “looks cool” and “is functional”. Karen was amazing at answering questions and helping me determine the perfect mix of upgrades for my new bike.
I’ve always ridden Profile bars and the reason I stuck with them is their designs allow for a ton of adjustability and rather than have to “just get used to”, I was really able to dial in my position with what is comfortable. I went with the Profile Carbon Prosvet basebar, Cobra Carbon extensions and Carbon ABS brake levers.
I also installed my quarq and swapped the Shimano wheels for my trusty Neuvation M28 trainers and I’m ready to roll.
I’m pretty stoked with the end product, the only problem I see is trying to keep this beast clean! At least it will match my ghostly pale skin come springtime! It's still “just a white P3” and I worry about picking it out of 200 in T1, but nonetheless, I'm pumped about the upgrade!
